Hi Hi Puffy EMI AmiYumi

Character design inspired by the Cartoon Network show "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi". This character is "Emi" (pronounced eh-mee), and she plays bass and tambourine. Her outfit is loosely based on Harajuku EGL fashion (wristcuffs, platform shoes, etc.). I wanted to combine the roundness of Ami's design and the sharp edges of Yumi's design, so I gave her pigtails and a bow with pointed corners paired with rounded eyelashes. This duality of round and sharp is also reflected in her personality. She appears very sweet and docile, but loves to rock out and be loud!
